If Lucio Jareño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Che Avila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Txema Contratas was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. A collision led to Atlético De Madrid C getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Paulino Zubiaga hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Gelacio made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Argenis Segarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Txema Contratas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Jareño, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Txema Contratas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1.
