The Caamaño AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silverio Palacios should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute Nevada Vilanova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Palacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Caamaño AD's goal looked a bit too open when Isandro Feria came free, but Silverio Palacios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nevada Vilanova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Palacios having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Inocencio Leyva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mataró.C.F and the Caamaño AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes Mataró.C.F got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Leyva. After the first half Mataró.C.F were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isandro Feria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Caamaño AD's Curcio Higuera got a free kick in the 53rd minute.
