The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Morales helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd match minute, Santiago De Alcantara CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Morales to maneuver through the defense. Alcañizo's Ariel Puig couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Santiago De Alcantara CF. In the 5th minute of the match, Gabi Ponce tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Favila Batuecas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gaspar Ortiz's late challenge caught a Alcañizo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Ortiz helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Santiago De Alcantara CF got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Ortiz. In the 7th minute of the match Ariel Puig shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Favila Batuecas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Elvio Jaraba came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Alcañizo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Jaraba couldn't finish the play. Elvio Jaraba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Favila Batuecas made a huge save. Gabi Ponce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasto Izaguirre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Cabanela in the 17th minute of the match. Santiago De Alcantara CF's Favila Batuecas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Ponce in the 20th minute of play. Elvio Jaraba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Santiago De Alcantara CF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elvio Jaraba fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Gabi Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabi Ponce made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Alex Mayor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santiago De Alcantara CF and the Alcañizo players grew even worse after the yellow card. 52 minutes into the match, Santiago De Alcantara CF's goal looked a bit too open when Gabi Ponce came free, but Favila Batuecas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Alcañizo fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Alcañizo's Gabi Ponce looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 61 played minutes Santiago De Alcantara CF got a freekick which was hit by Txema Castelao. Elvio Jaraba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Favila Batuecas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabi Ponce in the 70th minute of play forced Santiago De Alcantara CF's goalkeeper Favila Batuecas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabi Ponce took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Favila Batuecas. Favila Batuecas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 80th minute, Freddy Cabanela fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erasto Izaguirre, passed just outside the right post. Gabi Ponce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Favila Batuecas having to interfere. Gabi Ponce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Favila Batuecas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Jaraba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st play minute Inguma Segura came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Erasto Izaguirre. 3-1. Alcañizo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
