The supporters of Puerto De La Cruz booed when Masdemboquera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Babia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Reynaldo Ponce De Leon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natxo De la Torre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Reynaldo Ponce De Leon made the kick off in the second half. Masdemboquera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Etor Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puerto De La Cruz's supporters rose to their feet, but Etor Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hipolito Benítez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Loren Clos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cresitobalo Antunez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antolin Bartumeu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cresitobalo Antunez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hipolito Benítez having to make a save. Hipolito Benítez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antolin Bartumeu, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The supporters of Masdemboquera booed when Puerto De La Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antolin Bartumeu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Puerto De La Cruz's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
