Eriberto Dellasierra hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Ojacastro's Antonio Rosas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Handi Gimeno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Handi Gimeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Rosas in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute Antonio Rosas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Handi Gimeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Rosas in the 47th minute of play forced Borriol's goalkeeper Handi Gimeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Borriol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ojacastro the free kick. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Borriol! Graciano Tormes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Rosas got free with Handi Gimeno in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Borriol! The goalkeeper, Handi Gimeno, was totally fooled by Ojacastro's Paquito Aizpurua, who 86 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Handi Gimeno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Rosas in the 89th minute. Ojacastro's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
