After a defensive mix-up in O.Victoriana's zone, Pascual Cuervas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gallo Saboya came out of the goal and Pascual Cuervas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, O.Victoriana's Joachim Aranzubia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiago Gandia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 32 minutes into the match, Lekumberri Caballero notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Gibalbin's Tiago Gandia. Tiago Gandia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Joachim Aranzubia managed to get in a good position for a shot. O.Victoriana's supporters rose to their feet, but Joachim Aranzubia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pascual Cuervas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Gibalbin's goal looked a bit too open when Lekumberri Caballero came free, but Tiago Gandia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ray Veloso fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored O.Victoriana's protests and gave Ray Veloso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, one of O.Victoriana:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for O.Victoriana.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pascual Cuervas to make the kick off. A hard shot 56 in the game by Joachim Aranzubia from a close distance when the talented Tiago Gandia managed to make a qualified save. Gibalbin's players were relieved. Lekumberri Caballero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60thth minute of the game Lekumberri Caballero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gibalbin's Tiago Gandia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Lekumberri Caballero came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the O.Victoriana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lekumberri Caballero couldn't finish the play. O.Victoriana made a substitution. Ferdinand Reitz replaced Pedro Borrás. In the 72nd minute of the match O.Victoriana got a corner. Gibalbin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lekumberri Caballero ran over to the corner to take the kick. Patricio Guijarro tried in the game's 72nd match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Tiago Gandia. An annoying self made goal, 1-5. In the 77th minute, Joachim Aranzubia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The O.Victoriana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Joachim Aranzubia struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Tiago Gandia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for O.Victoriana. Tiago Gandia was a little too slow when Lekumberri Caballero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-7. In the 86th minute Lekumberri Caballero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Gandia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Gibalbin's Tiago Gandia got control of the ball when Joachim Aranzubia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tiago Gandia made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Joachim Aranzubia sent off a good shot on target. Gibalbin's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lekumberri Caballero 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-8. Gallo Saboya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Cuervas in the 99th minute of the match. When the match was over O.Victoriana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gibalbin throughout the match.
