After a rather tough play, RACING GALLAECIA CF's Casimiro Portillo got a free kick in the 7th minute. Pere Villafane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aznaro Esteban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, RC Deportivo de la Coruña was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Sánchez to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, RACING GALLAECIA CF's Leonardo Bacete tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. RACING GALLAECIA CF's Pere Villafane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aznaro Esteban in the 16th minute of play. Tomás Pais struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Orlando Dominguez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RACING GALLAECIA CF. Orlando Dominguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Bacete in the 22nd minute of the match. Lobo Cruz scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlando Dominguez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to RACING GALLAECIA CF getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Leonardo Bacete hit a great ball. Orlando Dominguez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lobo Cruz went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Lobo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Lobo Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orlando Dominguez. RC Deportivo de la Coruña's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lobo Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Leonardo Bacete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute, RC Deportivo de la Coruña's Caitano Blazquez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pere Villafane. Pere Villafane yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Orlando Dominguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Pais in the 46th minute of the match. Lobo Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aznaro Esteban was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in RC Deportivo de la Coruña's zone, Casimiro Portillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Dominguez came out of the goal and Casimiro Portillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgard Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Belisario Echeto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabi Lozano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Orlando Dominguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Aznaro Esteban got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pere Villafane came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by RC Deportivo de la Coruña's Caitano Blazquez. But to his dismay, Caitano Blazquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Lobo Cruz didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-4 via right post in the game's 72nd minute. RACING GALLAECIA CF's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Tomás Pais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Dominguez in the 77th minute of play forced RC Deportivo de la Coruña's goalkeeper Orlando Dominguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabi Lozano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Orlando Dominguez made a huge save. RACING GALLAECIA CF's Leonardo Bacete got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lobo Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Dominguez having to interfere. Lobo Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute of the match Juan-Carlos Tobias sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Dominguez skillfully saved the ball. The RC Deportivo de la Coruña fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. RACING GALLAECIA CF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
