When Modesto Merino in the 24th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Millán Durango kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After 35 minutes La Laja FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cipriano Puyol who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Cipriano Puyol almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but La Laja FC's Apolinar Villalcazar did a great save. Millán Durango showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Merino in the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 minutes of play, La Laja FC's Rico Llorca made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Millán Durango was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 48th minute Eduino Garay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolinar Villalcazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

After having played for 57 minutes, Modesto Merino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Laja FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Merino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rico Llorca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Millán Durango made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rico Llorca in the 71st minute of play.
