But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oriol Domenech couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Indartsu Llinares sped through Azulones CF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Máximo Naranjo. A collision led to Azulones CF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Milian Idiaquez hit a great ball. In the 14th minute of the match Cipriano Briso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Máximo Naranjo skillfully saved the ball. Máximo Naranjo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolinar Zamora in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Archibaldo Sevilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Almería's supporters crossed their fingers, but Archibaldo Sevilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Estefan Cardeñosa made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Gabri Pedrosa sent off a good shot on target. Máximo Naranjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archibaldo Sevilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Máximo Naranjo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archibaldo Sevilla in the 31st minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Claris Martin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Máximo Naranjo. Azulones CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claris Martin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 47th minute, one of Azulones CF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Azulones CF. Cipriano Briso walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After the first half UD Almería were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Azulones CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oriol Domenech was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. UD Almería made a substitution. Monte Acosta replaced Apolinar Zamora. Oriol Domenech could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Máximo Naranjo made a huge save. Azulones CF's Máximo Naranjo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archibaldo Sevilla in the 82nd minute of play. Máximo Naranjo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oriol Domenech in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Oriol Domenech notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Azulones CF's Máximo Naranjo. Máximo Naranjo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Máximo Naranjo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Oriol Domenech sent off a good shot on target. If Archibaldo Sevilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oriol Domenechs short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Máximo Naranjo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded UD Almería left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Azulones CF.
