The El Brillante fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. El Brillante's Unai Alcaraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ponciano Fabelo in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Enrico Blazquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Medardo Verdaguer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes, Guido Astudillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Puerto Moral and the El Brillante players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bingen Orbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ponciano Fabelo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Unai Alcaraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puerto Moral. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ponciano Fabelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puerto Moral's supporters rose to their feet, but Ponciano Fabelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Unai Alcaraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute Erlantz Cerreri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Unai Alcaraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over El Brillante could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Puerto Moral throughout the match.
