After recieving a nice pass, Baños De Gigonza's Lorenz Borrás tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arlo Gimeno might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Batista Arribas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arlo Gimeno ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Cucao Figueroa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Batista Arribas was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvino Ocaña in the 27th minute of play forced Liberri SD's goalkeeper Eugenio Yeste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Melkor Segura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Arlo Gimeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liberri SD's supporters rose to their feet, but Arlo Gimeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Batista Arribas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Cucao Figueroa made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Cucao Figueroa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
