Melones CF's Kemen Gómez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesé Rodriguez in the 18th minute of play. Aureliano Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melones CF. Gerardo Casals was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Los Arandas AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Melones CF:s goal. The goalkeeper, Aureliano Garcia, was totally fooled by Melones CF's Francisco Barba, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Los Arandas AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Pericles Vuelta hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pericles Vuelta was the one to do the kick off. If Pericles Vuelta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kemen Gómez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Salgado in the 60th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bittor Etxeberria couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Bittor Etxeberria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aureliano Garcia. Los Arandas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bittor Etxeberria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 70th minute, Patryk Hryc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kemen Gómez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. After 74 played minutes Melones CF got a freekick which was hit by Bittor Etxeberria. Aureliano Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bittor Etxeberria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pericles Vuelta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute of the game Eliseo Canyelles made a throw-in which Leandro De Toro played forward. 87 minutes into the game, Pericles Vuelta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kemen Gómez. Pericles Vuelta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Los Arandas AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
