The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Gorka Macia came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Tumbo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gorka Macia couldn't finish the play. Alvar Feliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cortez Amorebieta having to interfere. Jesús Alacuart succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 15th playminute. Alvar Feliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alvar Feliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cortez Amorebieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Cenicero's Cortez Amorebieta threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alvar Feliu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Alvar Feliu made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Cenicero's Alvar Feliu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cortez Amorebieta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Oso Aceves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gorka Macia in the 58th minute of play. Jesús Alacuart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Cenicero's Xavier Morcego got a free kick in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Gervasio Coira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tumbo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Coira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oso Aceves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cenicero's Oso Aceves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gorka Macia in the 93rd minute of play. Tumbo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
