In the 3rd minute Nicolás Irureta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Moya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julen Cao might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over René Moya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julen Cao ran back to his position shaking his head. Victorino Ponce De Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Moya having to interfere. Heriberto Barba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Neto Hernandez having to make a save. Neto Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Ziguenza in the 14th minute of play. Heriberto Barba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neto Hernandez having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Julen Cao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of René Moya. Capmany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julen Cao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 39th minute, Nicolás Irureta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Xurxo Sevilla fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capmany's protests and gave Xurxo Sevilla a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Xurxo Sevilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julen Cao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolás Irureta made a kick off. René Moya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julen Cao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amador Lacorte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but René Moya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Capmany's Heriberto Barba fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Nicolás Irureta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 minutes, Heriberto Barba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capmany and the Cojos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute Nicolás Irureta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Moya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nicolás Irureta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Capmany's zone, Julen Cao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. René Moya came out of the goal and Julen Cao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Nicolás Irureta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capmany's René Moya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
