In the 7th match minute, Cangas De Onis CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rey Pastor to maneuver through the defense. If Rey Pastor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Reyes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Poli Arraz. Cangas De Onis CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 20 played minutes Cangas De Onis CF got a freekick which was hit by Juan-Alfredo Hernandez. Anko Salgado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Xabier Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poli Arraz having to interfere. Desiderio Leyva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Poli Arraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. From close distance Desiderio Leyva pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 34 minutes into the game. Xabier Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poli Arraz having to interfere. If Guido Serrano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Poli Arraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xabier Marquez in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Cangas De Onis CF's goalkeeper Poli Arraz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Desiderio Leyva. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Xabier Marquez made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cangas De Onis CF's zone, Xabier Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Poli Arraz came out of the goal and Xabier Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xabier Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Poli Arraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Desiderio Leyva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cangas De Onis CF's Poli Arraz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Desiderio Leyva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes of play, Pereda UD's Xabier Marquez made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Poli Arraz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rey Pastor in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Meder Gimeno, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Meder Gimeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rey Pastor in the 71st minute of the match. Desiderio Leyva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Poli Arraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cangas De Onis CF booed when Pereda UD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Txema Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Desiderio Leyva came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Pereda UD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desiderio Leyva couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Desiderio Leyva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan-Alfredo Hernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan-Alfredo Hernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd minute, Xabier Marquez made a precise shot to the right of Poli Arraz. Cangas De Onis CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Pereda UD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
