Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marco Barrientos kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Marco Barrientos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaizka Montaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ganix Urbina scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaizka Montaña, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th match minute, Grumos Blancos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Padro Peña to maneuver through the defense. Gaizka Montaña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mitxel Vacas, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. With a little luck, UD Espinar's Gení Aguilar got control of the ball when Giorgio Camacho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnas Nieto kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Gaizka Montaña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Barrientos, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Imanol Castan fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grumos Blancos's protests and gave Imanol Castan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of UD Espinar booed when Grumos Blancos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Imanol Castan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Vincent Reina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giorgio Camacho struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Gení Aguilar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grumos Blancos. After a defensive mix-up in Grumos Blancos's zone, Ganix Urbina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaizka Montaña came out of the goal and Ganix Urbina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giorgio Camacho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gení Aguilar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Barrientos in the 26th minute of play forced Grumos Blancos's goalkeeper Gaizka Montaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Mitxel Vacas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grumos Blancos's Gaizka Montaña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaizka Montaña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ganix Urbina in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Grumos Blancos's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Barrientos came free, but Gaizka Montaña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitxel Vacas in the 39th minute of play forced Grumos Blancos's goalkeeper Gaizka Montaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgio Camacho, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gaizka Montaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Barrientos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, Grumos Blancos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Reina to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giorgio Camacho to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes UD Espinar got a freekick which was hit by Quique Camara. Asteri Gene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gení Aguilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Gaizka Montaña successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, UD Espinar's Quique Camara got a free kick in the 58th minute. Gení Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constancio Amorebieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Grumos Blancos's goalkeeper Gaizka Montaña had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mitxel Vacas. Padro Peña charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Padro Peña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Padro Peña hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 69 minutes, Angelo Radaban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Espinar and the Grumos Blancos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaizka Montaña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eladio Checa in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Grumos Blancos's goal looked a bit too open when Ganix Urbina came free, but Gaizka Montaña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Giorgio Camacho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, UD Espinar's Mitxel Vacas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaizka Montaña made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. UD Espinar's Gení Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgio Camacho in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded UD Espinar left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grumos Blancos.
