In the 65th minute, Quintan Unzueta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Pedro Izquierdo's Pio Perez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pio Perez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pedro Izquierdo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pio Perez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When Guter Pareja came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Moraira C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guter Pareja couldn't finish the play. Moraira C.F.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
