Atlètic de Barcelona's Bladi Gala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Atlètic de Barcelona from getting a goal against them. Naike Duran lost his temper 9 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in LasVirtudes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Atlètic de Barcelona a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Augusto Morera, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of LasVirtudes's Armando Tobia. 0-1. Armando Tobia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Santander went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Misael Zapater managed to get in a good position for a shot. LasVirtudes's supporters rose to their feet, but Misael Zapater was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bladi Gala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. LasVirtudes's Armando Tobia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Santander in the 21st minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Senen Quiroga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Tobia. LasVirtudes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Senen Quiroga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 32nd minute, Misael Zapater got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, LasVirtudes's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Santander came free, but Armando Tobia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, LasVirtudes's Idacio Aranzubia got a free kick in the 36th minute. Augusto Morera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armando Tobia. LasVirtudes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Armando Tobia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Santander in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute Senen Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Tobia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Atlètic de Barcelona getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Marco Pardo hit a great ball. Armando Tobia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Senen Quiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Misael Zapater was the one to do the kick off. When Misael Zapater came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the LasVirtudes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Misael Zapater couldn't finish the play. When Urtsin Quevedo fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlètic de Barcelona's protests and gave Urtsin Quevedo a yellow card for diving instead. Urtsin Quevedo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the LasVirtudes defense, Fernando Santander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Tobia. The LasVirtudes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Tobia should have stopped the shot. After having played for 61 minutes, Tomi Tarin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LasVirtudes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomi Tarin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Misael Zapater struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Bladi Gala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LasVirtudes. With his leg Armando Tobia managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Atlètic de Barcelona's Fernando Santander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marco Pardo got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of LasVirtudes booed when Atlètic de Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Pardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Atlètic de Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Tomi Vacas came free, but Bladi Gala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atlètic de Barcelona's zone, Tomi Tarin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bladi Gala came out of the goal and Tomi Tarin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Misael Zapater's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bladi Gala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Atlètic de Barcelona getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Cordeiro Vilanova hit a great ball. Bladi Gala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Idacio Aranzubia in the 75th minute of play. Fernando Santander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Armando Tobia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bladi Gala came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by LasVirtudes's Tomi Tarin. But to his dismay, Tomi Tarin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Tomi Tarin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bladi Gala having to interfere. Idacio Aranzubia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bladi Gala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cordeiro Vilanova was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Atlètic de Barcelona's Cordeiro Vilanova got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Atlètic de Barcelona's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
