Canteras's supporters rose to their feet, but Miro Rapado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cordareo Vacas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cebo Cienfuegos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Mullidar booed when Canteras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quintin Fonticoba didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match, Baldomero March got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kelemen Pantoja was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Canteras's zone, Cebo Cienfuegos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cebo Cienfuegos couldn't finish the play. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Teobaldo Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Gabas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kelemen Pantoja having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miro Rapado was the one to do the kick off. Cordareo Vacas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benet Ponte went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kelemen Pantoja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Blazquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Canteras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benet Ponte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
