When Ramón Verdu came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the FC Lérida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Verdu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 17 minutes, Bastia Cacheres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lérida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bastia Cacheres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute Frantzes Cuervas suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 19 minutes, Fonso Barro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the burgoscf and the FC Lérida players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Lérida made a substitution. Lluciano Bermudez replaced Frantzes Cuervas. FC Lérida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave burgoscf the free kick. Senen Abellan kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The supporters of burgoscf booed when FC Lérida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Verdu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Lluciano Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lérida's supporters rose to their feet, but Lluciano Bermudez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silviano Munoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The burgoscf fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Lérida were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
