Donato Sengrat came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Leones FC's Gartzen Idiaquez. But to his dismay, Gartzen Idiaquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Archibaldo Treviño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lazcano Canal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Sengrat made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Contreras in the 21st minute. Donato Sengrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alirio Diez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Gartzen Idiaquez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donato Sengrat. That made the score 3-1 in the 23 minute of play. Archibaldo Treviño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Lazcano Canal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Archibaldo Treviño came free, but Lazcano Canal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot by Poli Sánchez from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Donato Sengrat's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to UD Tomasso LPGC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Orlo Echavarri hit a great ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mats Lindström made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Leones FC's zone, Archibaldo Treviño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lazcano Canal came out of the goal and Archibaldo Treviño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xantalen Acosta hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Mats Lindström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lazcano Canal was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 59th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xantalen Acosta to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Pepillo Carballeira got a free kick in the 61st minute. With his leg Lazcano Canal managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when UD Tomasso LPGC's Mats Lindström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Xantalen Acosta hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Alirio Diez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Sengrat was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Donato Sengrat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alirio Diez in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, UD Tomasso LPGC's goal looked a bit too open when José Contreras came free, but Donato Sengrat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Hryc was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, one of UD Tomasso LPGC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UD Tomasso LPGC. After 79 minutes of play, Leones FC's José Contreras made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Sengrat was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pepillo Carballeira to maneuver through the defense. Donato Sengrat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. Leones FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
