Macias Munoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Cainzos in the 3rd minute of play. Macias Munoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Cali FC's Valery Palacios got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cali FC's goalkeeper Macias Munoz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Benito Prats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cali FC's Valery Palacios quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rencio Reyes, made in the 30th minute of the game. If Jose-Manuel Cainzos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, La Muleria FC's Error Mudarra got a free kick in the 39th minute. Valery Palacios's shot from long distance in the 43rd minute was not bad at all, but La Muleria FC's Eloy Mayol knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 46 minutes into the match, Cali FC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Cainzos came free, but Macias Munoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santana Casado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelines Feria kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 53 minutes, Benito Prats made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. La Muleria FC's Eloy Mayol tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st match minute, La Muleria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelines Feria to maneuver through the defense. Xicu Acarreta took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Mayol. Eloy Mayol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Santana Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Error Mudarra fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Muleria FC's protests and gave Error Mudarra a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cali FC booed when La Muleria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Error Mudarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Benito Prats notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of La Muleria FC's Eloy Mayol. Eloy Mayol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valery Palacios kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Faustino Cainzos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Faustino Cainzos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Macias Munoz made a huge save. There was no doubt that Cali FC were the better team. Cali FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
