The referee showed Zoilo Aballe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zoilo Aballe kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Eugenio Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Montay Prats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Orihuela CF booed when Restabal CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes, Orihuela CF's Reyes Muelas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damian Cichewski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Orihuela CF reached it. Damian Cichewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Mudarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Mudarra in the 26th minute of play forced Restabal CF's goalkeeper Damian Cichewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Cichewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elazar Patiño went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonides Ramis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damian Cichewski. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Restabal CF's Belisario Beloki got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugenio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herminio Mudarra made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Restabal CF's Patxi Urquijo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Patxi Urquijo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Restabal CF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Patxi Urquijo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 55th match minute, Restabal CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patxi Urquijo to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Herminio Mudarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Cichewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Elazar Patiño notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Restabal CF's Damian Cichewski. Damian Cichewski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damian Cichewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Garrido in the 66th minute of the match. Damian Cichewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Mudarra in the 81st minute of the match. A collision led to Restabal CF getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Oihan Castro hit a great ball. Damian Cichewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elazar Patiño in the 85th minute of play. Damian Cichewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Garrido, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Elazar Patiño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damian Cichewski. Restabal CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elazar Patiño was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Orihuela CF had played much better football throughout.
