After 10 played minutes Orihuela CF got a freekick which was hit by Elazar Patiño. After a rather tough play, Ribadesella's Tadeo Dominguez got a free kick in the 12th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Ribadesella:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Orihuela CF:s goal. In the 15th minute, Orihuela CF got a penalty, and Reyes Muelas placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. In the 17th minute, Enol Serra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Herminio Mudarra came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Orihuela CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herminio Mudarra couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristeo Camacho in the 25th minute of play forced Orihuela CF's goalkeeper Montay Prats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Aristeo Camacho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Orihuela CF's Montay Prats. Montay Prats was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute Elazar Patiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolás Labarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Tadeo Dominguez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribadesella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeo Dominguez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tadeo Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ribadesella had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
