In the 7th minute Santiago Garrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Echavarri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Santiago Garrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Echavarri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elazar Patiño, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amancio Hevia in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Montay Prats saved Orihuela CF from getting behind. If Amancio Hevia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orihuela CF's Montay Prats proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Orihuela CF from getting a goal against them. Herminio Mudarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. David Echavarri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Echavarri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Garrido in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Herminio Mudarra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Echavarri. Sporting de Veles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herminio Mudarra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 33rd match minute, Sporting de Veles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Polifemo Ballesteros to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Sporting de Veles's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Ramis came free, but David Echavarri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Orihuela CF getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Herminio Mudarra hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes Orihuela CF got a freekick which was hit by Unax Bouzas. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Amancio Hevia struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Montay Prats didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting de Veles. Reyes Muelas got a throw-in 59 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bienvenido Dominguez. Montay Prats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Hevia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Villalcazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Herminio Mudarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Echavarri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elazar Patiño succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 64th playminute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amancio Hevia in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Montay Prats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Orihuela CF's Santiago Garrido in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting de Veles's goalie prevented a goal. Amancio Hevia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonides Ramis took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Echavarri. David Echavarri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 87 minutes into the game, Elazar Patiño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orihuela CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting de Veles the free kick. After a rather tough play, Orihuela CF's Elazar Patiño got a free kick in the 87th minute. The supporters of Orihuela CF booed when Sporting de Veles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Polifemo Ballesteros didn't get a good kick on the ball.
