In the 33rd minute of the match, Ginés Bodelon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luis-Antonio Ramis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oñon's goalkeeper Luis-Antonio Ramis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Gabi Colillas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luis-Antonio Ramis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Mariano Viejo fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oñon's protests and gave Mariano Viejo a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Moisés Justo managed to get in a good position for a shot.
