Dantel Leyva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabri Espinosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. RS Fuenlabrada's Desiderio Beloki got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Sánchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Montxo De Pedro having to interfere. Tacito De Toro struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Montxo De Pedro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RS Fuenlabrada. A collision led to RS Fuenlabrada getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Peru Teresa hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, RS Fuenlabrada's goalkeeper Dantel Leyva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aita Benítez. After a defensive mix-up in Olivella AFC's zone, Luis Sánchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Montxo De Pedro came out of the goal and Luis Sánchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luis Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bitxintxo Benítez struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Desiderio Beloki managed to get in a good position for a shot. RS Fuenlabrada's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Beloki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Montxo De Pedro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olivella AFC's Montxo De Pedro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Beloki in the 40th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Desiderio Beloki in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Montxo De Pedro saved Olivella AFC from getting behind. Dantel Leyva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gentza Olmedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Olivella AFC's Gentza Olmedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After the first half RS Fuenlabrada were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Sánchez made a kick off. Dantel Leyva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gentza Olmedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Sánchez got free with Montxo De Pedro in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute Aita Benítez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dantel Leyva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Beloki in the 61st minute of play forced Olivella AFC's goalkeeper Montxo De Pedro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
