In the 8th match minute, U.D. Logroñes S.A.D was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Pardo to maneuver through the defense. Macias Clemente was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cruz March showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. U.D. Logroñes S.A.D's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Cruz March scored to the left of an out of position Macias Clemente, making the score, 2-0. In the 28th minute of the match Gaizkine Galego sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Macias Clemente skillfully saved the ball. U.D. Logroñes S.A.D's Marcelo Helguera got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute Marcelo Helguera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ascencio Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Carlet got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Parra. 41 minutes into the match, U.D. Logroñes S.A.D's Maximiliano Guasch broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cruz March sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, Carlet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benet Ponce to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Olaf Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Macias Clemente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Cruz March notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of U.D. Logroñes S.A.D's Macias Clemente. Macias Clemente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Macias Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, U.D. Logroñes S.A.D's Marcelo Helguera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ascencio Reyes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olaf Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macias Clemente having to interfere. Marcelo Helguera's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Ascencio Reyes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Benet Ponce scored 4-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Macias Clemente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute Vladimiro Parra suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. William Pardo got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 76 played minutes U.D. Logroñes S.A.D got a freekick which was hit by William Pardo. 82 minutes into the match, U.D. Logroñes S.A.D's Xilo Dobale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ascencio Reyes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Xilo Dobale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Carlet getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Gaizkine Galego hit a great ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Olaf Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carlet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olaf Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in U.D. Logroñes S.A.D's zone, Olaf Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Macias Clemente came out of the goal and Olaf Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. U.D. Logroñes S.A.D's Macias Clemente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olaf Ramos in the 96th minute of play.
