After having played for 3 minutes, Eusebio Dobale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Markel F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Dobale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Markel F.C's Leoncio Jimenez got a free kick in the 5th minute. A collision led to Markel F.C getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Juan Lozano hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Markel F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cris Urbieta came free, but Quentin Saboya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Airas Cabada got free with Quentin Saboya in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nando Galdamez struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Andoitz Ballesteros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Markel F.C. 23 minutes into the match, Markel F.C's goalkeeper Quentin Saboya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hegoi Font. Quentin Saboya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cris Urbieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Quentin Saboya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cris Urbieta in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Galdamez in the 34th minute of play forced Chio's goalkeeper Andoitz Ballesteros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cris Urbieta to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Nando Galdamez made a precise shot to the right of Andoitz Ballesteros. Chio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Markel F.C's Quentin Saboya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Font in the 62nd minute of play. Cordero Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Hegoi Font fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chio's protests and gave Hegoi Font a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Chio got a freekick which was hit by Hegoi Font. Quentin Saboya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cris Urbieta in the 69th minute of the match. Quentin Saboya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cris Urbieta in the 70th minute of play. Cris Urbieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Chio's Alfonso Lagunas got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute of the match Ciceron Bastida shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andoitz Ballesteros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cris Urbieta in the 91st minute of play forced Markel F.C's goalkeeper Quentin Saboya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cris Urbieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, Chio's Airas Cabada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Quentin Saboya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Chio walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
