In the 5th match minute, Mitos SD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Maldonado to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Gadir getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Paco Valerón hit a great ball. Norino Estrada, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 21 minutes, Oswaldo Maldonado made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gadir's Kobe Vrancken tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Mitos SD's Bernabel Peña got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Taurino Aceves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A sloppy throw-in by Abel Pardo in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gadir's Urtzi Marin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenon Marques in the 45th minute of play forced Mitos SD's goalkeeper Ján Čillík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ján Čillík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Marques in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oswaldo Maldonado was the one to do the kick off. Zenon Marques's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ján Čillík firmly grabbed it by the left post. Taurino Aceves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kobe Vrancken having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Abel Pardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abel Pardo hit a great ball. Mitos SD's Ján Čillík proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Mitos SD from getting a goal against them. Oswaldo Maldonado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kobe Vrancken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Gadir's Ján Čillík threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silban Salan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 85 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Maldonado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kobe Vrancken. Gadir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Maldonado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Oswaldo Maldonado struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Kobe Vrancken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mitos SD. Zenon Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ján Čillík made a huge save. 96 minutes into the game, Gadir's Silban Salan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ján Čillík made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3.
