Guadajira CD's Ciro Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Pacheco in the 18th minute of play. Fe Acedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ciro Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fe Acedo scored 2-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Leal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Solustiano Castaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Alavedra having to interfere. Ciriaco Pacheco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Leal having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Solustiano Castaño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaias Alavedra was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. 36 minutes into the game, Rexino Yeste was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Ibias's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guadajira CD the free kick. After some careless play in the Real Ibias defense, Fix Pais kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isaias Alavedra. The Real Ibias fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isaias Alavedra should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ciro Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fe Acedo's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Fe Acedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ciro Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
