A collision led to Malon getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Baiardo Japón hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Albacete Balompié's Burni Zubiaga got a free kick in the 5th minute. The supporters of Albacete Balompié booed when Malon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manel Bencoiechea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pancho Japón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliz Segarra in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Ramone Riells was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Albacete Balompié the free kick. The supporters of Albacete Balompié booed when Malon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramone Riells didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Feliz Segarra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pancho Japón. The goal made the score 1-0. Albacete Balompié's Feliz Segarra got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Feliz Segarra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Pancho Japón when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 26th minute Manel Bencoiechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giro Idiaquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaztea Alarcon in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pancho Japón prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Albacete Balompié getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Nisio Marrero hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes, Malon's Ospin Verdu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Giro Idiaquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malon reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliz Segarra made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliz Segarra in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pancho Japón prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Manel Bencoiechea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramone Riells kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Manel Bencoiechea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giro Idiaquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Nisio Marrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albacete Balompié's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malon the free kick. Pancho Japón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feliz Segarra's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Pancho Japón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaztea Alarcon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albacete Balompié walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
