Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Manel Bencoiechea kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Malon's zone, Wilfredo Gabas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pancho Japón came out of the goal and Wilfredo Gabas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ferdinand Montes came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Las Norias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Montes couldn't finish the play. Richie Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manel Bencoiechea in the 6th minute of play. Las Norias's Oscar Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Gabas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pancho Japón. Malon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilfredo Gabas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 25thth minute of the game Wilfredo Gabas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malon's Pancho Japón was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilfredo Gabas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pancho Japón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Malon's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Gabas came free, but Pancho Japón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Manel Bencoiechea came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Malon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manel Bencoiechea couldn't finish the play. If Bautista Castellano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Las Norias were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Wilfredo Gabas made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Bautista Castellano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richie Palacios. Las Norias's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bautista Castellano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Ferdinand Montes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 60 minutes, Wilfredo Gabas made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Malon's Pancho Japón tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pancho Japón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Gabas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With his leg Pancho Japón managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Las Norias's Ferdinand Montes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 79th minute, Bautista Castellano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Bautista Castellano struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Richie Palacios didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malon. Richie Palacios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manel Bencoiechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Oscar Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manel Bencoiechea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Las Norias's Gaizka Diaz got a free kick in the 91st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Malon's Ospin Verdu tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
