Jardi Club de Fútbol were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after CF Badalona's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Saura took the corner. If Rufo Mezquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Colas Portillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Gene's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peio Marques during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CF Badalona booed when Jardi Club de Fútbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peio Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Saura hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, CF Badalona's goalkeeper Sylwester Zabrzeski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mendebal Ponte. Jardi Club de Fútbol's Colas Portillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rufo Mezquita in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute Mendebal Ponte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Zabrzeski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Gene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Colas Portillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CF Badalona made a substitution. Jose-Luis Alarcon replaced Rufo Mezquita. A collision led to CF Badalona getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. William Gene hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Gorri Alvarez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Colas Portillo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
