But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Gene couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Tarraco Falcons's zone, William Gene stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Candela came out of the goal and William Gene tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19thth minute of the game William Gene who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarraco Falcons's Rogelio Candela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, William Gene managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF Badalona's supporters rose to their feet, but William Gene was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogelio Candela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When William Gene came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the CF Badalona fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Gene in the 44th minute of play forced Tarraco Falcons's goalkeeper Rogelio Candela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aliecer Valcarcel hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, William Gene was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CF Badalona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarraco Falcons the free kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Gene made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Tarraco Falcons's Herauso Pardo got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ariando Calatayud kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Mohamed Hevia's late challenge caught a CF Badalona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Aliecer Valcarcel was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 97 minutes had been played. After 98 played minutes Tarraco Falcons got a freekick which was hit by Aliecer Valcarcel. The Tarraco Falcons fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CF Badalona were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
