An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerrold Montiel in the 11th minute of play forced Gilet FC's goalkeeper Roque Ramiréz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jerrold Montiel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roque Ramiréz was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After 14 played minutes Samba Coloma got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Perez. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aintza Bueno got free with Natal Viqueira in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerrold Montiel in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Ramiréz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jerrold Montiel scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roque Ramiréz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Gilet FC's Aintza Bueno got a free kick in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Pericles Irureta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gilet FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pericles Irureta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natal Viqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerrold Montiel took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roque Ramiréz. Roque Ramiréz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A throw-in in the 37th minute of the game was made by Eriberto Zapata with Aintza Bueno as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pericles Irureta was the one to do the kick off. Gilet FC's Roque Ramiréz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Gilet FC from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute, Jerrold Montiel made a precise shot to the right of Roque Ramiréz. Gilet FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Aintza Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aintza Bueno in the 71st minute of play forced Samba Coloma's goalkeeper Natal Viqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Gilet FC defense, Jerrold Montiel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roque Ramiréz. The Gilet FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roque Ramiréz should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Gilet FC's Sixto Delgado got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Jerrold Montiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerrold Montiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Roque Ramiréz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eriberto Zapata made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aintza Bueno however managed to control. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Samba Coloma walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
