Pierres Quiroga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Anchel Prieto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Haimar Echavarri. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. With a little luck, Athletic Cedremán's Haimar Echavarri got control of the ball when Cordero Amer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cordero Amer might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haimar Echavarri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cordero Amer ran back to his position shaking his head. Athletic Cedremán's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Bernardo Valverde scored to the left of an out of position Haimar Echavarri, making the score, 2-0. After 20 played minutes Real sociedad got a freekick which was hit by Jusepe Alfaro. After 22 minutes, Inocencio Tarin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Athletic Cedremán and the Real sociedad players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Real sociedad booed when Athletic Cedremán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Tarin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cordero Amer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real sociedad's supporters rose to their feet, but Cordero Amer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haimar Echavarri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haimar Echavarri was a little too slow when Bernardo Valverde got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-0. Haimar Echavarri made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Pierres Quiroga sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd match minute, Real sociedad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aranguiz Harroyo to maneuver through the defense. Artemio Noya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Barberá, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Aranguiz Harroyo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Real sociedad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aranguiz Harroyo couldn't finish the play. In the 37th play minute Aranguiz Harroyo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Haimar Echavarri. 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Athletic Cedremán's zone, Aranguiz Harroyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haimar Echavarri came out of the goal and Aranguiz Harroyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th match minute, Real sociedad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordeiro Aguilo to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cordero Amer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Haimar Echavarri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordero Amer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes Athletic Cedremán got a freekick which was hit by Lordi Hidalgo. Cordero Amer might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haimar Echavarri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cordero Amer ran back to his position shaking his head. If Cordero Amer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Aranguiz Harroyo came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Real sociedad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aranguiz Harroyo couldn't finish the play. Haimar Echavarri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordero Amer in the 63rd minute of the match. Athletic Cedremán's Haimar Echavarri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aranguiz Harroyo in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Athletic Cedremán's Bermudo Leal got a free kick in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Epicuro Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real sociedad's supporters rose to their feet, but Epicuro Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haimar Echavarri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aranguiz Harroyo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mino Alcaraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Noya was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Inocencio Tarin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 76 minute of play. Pierres Quiroga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Haimar Echavarri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cordero Amer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mino Alcaraz came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Real sociedad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mino Alcaraz couldn't finish the play. Haimar Echavarri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aranguiz Harroyo in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Cordero Amer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real sociedad's supporters rose to their feet, but Cordero Amer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haimar Echavarri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aranguiz Harroyo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Haimar Echavarri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real sociedad. When the referee ended the match the Real sociedad players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
