Erlantz Ramirez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florinio Cardeñosa in the 30th minute of play. When the match had been going on for 32 minutes Enrique Morcego shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Ion Quintas when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Ion Quintas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ugaitz Encina scored 1-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ion Quintas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Celtic de Sarda's Ion Quintas got control of the ball when Florin Brănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee ignored Ardales's protests and gave Eli Bermejo a yellow card for diving instead.
