Ayna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xinto Carmona couldn't finish the play. After having played for 12 minutes, Sigfrido Jaen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.D. Ayna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigfrido Jaen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermelando De la Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermelando De la Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Carricola UD's Hermelando De la Rosa got a free kick in the 13th minute. A.D. Ayna's Sigfrido Jaen got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tato Martínez made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Cloyo Vagrande sent off a good shot on target. Zacarías Casanova kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of A.D. Ayna booed when Carricola UD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermelando De la Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, A.D. Ayna's Felix Sobrado broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xinto Carmona in the 21st minute of play forced Carricola UD's goalkeeper Gregory Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Platon Marrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tato Martínez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Carricola UD's zone, Nicodemo Zafrilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregory Maldonado came out of the goal and Nicodemo Zafrilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carricola UD's Gregory Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xinto Carmona in the 35th minute of play. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Xinto Carmona sped through Carricola UD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gregory Maldonado. The Carricola UD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. A.D. Ayna were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Platon Marrero made the kick off in the second half. Platon Marrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Cloyo Vagrande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tato Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tato Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cloyo Vagrande, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Cloyo Vagrande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carricola UD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cloyo Vagrande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sigfrido Jaen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Gregory Maldonado made a huge save. After 74 played minutes Carricola UD got a freekick which was hit by Hermelando De la Rosa. When A.D. Galsino Ibanez's late challenge caught a A.D. Ayna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Galsino Ibanez helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Carricola UD got a freekick which was hit by Galsino Ibanez. Cloyo Vagrande might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tato Martínez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cloyo Vagrande ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute Cloyo Vagrande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tato Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigfrido Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gregory Maldonado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sigfrido Jaen sped through Carricola UD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gregory Maldonado. The A.D. Ayna supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing A.D. Ayna would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
