An unexpectedly hard shot by Marino Villafane in the 5th minute of play forced SantaColoma FC's goalkeeper Agapito Pantoja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cadiz United's Giraldo Navarro came free and shot a quick shot against goal 5 minutes in the game, fortunately Agapito Pantoja had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Giraldo Navarro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Agapito Pantoja made a huge save. The supporters of Cadiz United booed when SantaColoma FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Irureta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the SantaColoma FC defense, Giraldo Navarro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agapito Pantoja. The SantaColoma FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agapito Pantoja should have stopped the shot. Agapito Pantoja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilen Higuera in the 21st minute of play. Gilen Higuera took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agapito Pantoja. Agapito Pantoja dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Agapito Pantoja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilen Higuera in the 27th minute of the match. Cadiz United's Marino Villafane got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute of the match, Marino Villafane tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Agapito Pantoja saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 34 minutes into the match, SantaColoma FC's goalkeeper Agapito Pantoja had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giraldo Navarro. Agapito Pantoja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilen Higuera in the 35th minute of play. When Cilio Otero came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the SantaColoma FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cilio Otero couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Cadiz United getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Cesareo Bermudez hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, SantaColoma FC's Leizarraga Casas tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, SantaColoma FC's Agapito Pantoja got control of the ball when Léo França tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Agapito Pantoja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giraldo Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Marino Villafane put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Agapito Pantoja. 55 minutes into the match, Cadiz United's Marino Villafane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agapito Pantoja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marino Villafane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marino Villafane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes SantaColoma FC got a freekick which was hit by Marino Casta. In the 72nd minute Giraldo Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agapito Pantoja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Gilen Higuera put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Agapito Pantoja. Cadiz United's Reinaldo Cayuela was substituted for Léo França.
