With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jesús Casado in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Sanz saved El Porrosillo from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Xan Helguera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When Xan Helguera fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alcañiz CD's protests and gave Xan Helguera a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alcañiz CD getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Xan Helguera hit a great ball. Jesús Casado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesús Casado scored 3-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arturo Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ismael Rey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Sanz having to interfere. El Porrosillo's Arturo Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argenis Ramiréz in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of El Porrosillo booed when Alcañiz CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xan Helguera didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alcañiz CD's Jesús Casado in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the referee ended the match the Alcañiz CD players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
