Anibal Valerón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derwin Benítez in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, CD Rebumín's goalkeeper Anibal Valerón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mahoma Barrientos. Derwin Benítez might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anibal Valerón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derwin Benítez ran back to his position shaking his head. After 9 played minutes CD Rebumín got a freekick which was hit by Servando Marcos. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Derwin Benítez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montoro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Derwin Benítez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Valerón breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 17 minutes, Mahoma Barrientos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montoro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mahoma Barrientos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, CD Rebumín's goal looked a bit too open when Derwin Benítez came free, but Anibal Valerón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1-0 became the score in the 27th minute when Mahoma Barrientos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Hussein Villa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Mahoma Barrientos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anibal Valerón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Derwin Benítez's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. CD Rebumín's Anibal Valerón proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save CD Rebumín from getting a goal against them. Omero Amorebieta was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th match minute, CD Rebumín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omero Amorebieta to maneuver through the defense. CD Rebumín's Anibal Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derwin Benítez in the 41st minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Derwin Benítez to make the kick off. Anibal Valerón came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Montoro FC's Mahoma Barrientos. But to his dismay, Mahoma Barrientos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The Montoro FC fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Montoro FC's Derwin Benítez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 63rd minute Mahoma Barrientos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Valerón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Montoro FC's Derwin Benítez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anibal Valerón narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Román Moreno's late challenge caught a CD Rebumín's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Román Moreno helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CD Rebumín booed when Montoro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Román Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Hussein Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Rebumín's supporters rose to their feet, but Hussein Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anacleto Verges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Román Moreno got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Román Moreno hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Anibal Valerón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mahoma Barrientos in the 75th minute of the match. Anartz Zapata charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anartz Zapata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes Montoro FC got a freekick which was hit by Anartz Zapata. 90 minutes into the match, CD Rebumín's goal looked a bit too open when Mahoma Barrientos came free, but Anibal Valerón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
