Mel Checa charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mel Checa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CD Rebumín booed when Peralta De La Sal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mel Checa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Peralta De La Sal's goalkeeper Eligio Ramirez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hussein Villa. Peralta De La Sal:s Eligio Ramirez showed great skill when he stopped Hussein Villa:s penalty. A collision led to Peralta De La Sal getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Eutropio Castro hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Hussein Villa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eligio Ramirez. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. When Angelo Llorente came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Peralta De La Sal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Llorente couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, CD Rebumín's Jonathan Morales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eligio Ramirez narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
