The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Natxo Font showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Sevilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Julián Urbieta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Michel Cabrera made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Horizonte's Pepillo Garrido slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Michel Cabrera. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. Baraxil Adán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natxo Font having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Balboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Horizonte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kewell Team the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Club Atlético Horizonte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Balboa to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Liberto Marques made a precise shot to the right of Natxo Font. Club Atlético Horizonte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Michel Cabrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beremundo Naranjo in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atlético Horizonte getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Edelmiro Balboa hit a great ball. Club Atlético Horizonte's Pepillo Garrido got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Horizonte's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Barral came free, but Natxo Font reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Liberto Marques made a precise shot to the right of Natxo Font. Club Atlético Horizonte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Natxo Font came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Kewell Team's Prudencio Sevilla. But to his dismay, Prudencio Sevilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Kewell Team's Michel Cabrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Kewell Team from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julián Urbieta was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liberto Marques in the 51st minute of play forced Club Atlético Horizonte's goalkeeper Natxo Font to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Pepillo Garrido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Horizonte's supporters rose to their feet, but Pepillo Garrido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Cabrera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th match minute, Kewell Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastiano Navas to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute of the match Enrique Colillas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michel Cabrera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kewell Team's zone, Beremundo Naranjo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Cabrera came out of the goal and Beremundo Naranjo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prudencio Sevilla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Natxo Font read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Natxo Font took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baraxil Adán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natxo Font was a little too slow when Prudencio Sevilla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-4. Club Atlético Horizonte's Natxo Font proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Horizonte from getting a goal against them. Michel Cabrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beremundo Naranjo in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Liberto Marques reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Natxo Font. The goal made the score 1-5. Isidro Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Natxo Font tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atlético Horizonte's Natxo Font played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Sevilla in the 96th minute of play.
