Berto Mendez was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Xavis Equals getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Polifemo Quevedo hit a great ball. If Eneko Vilanova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Berto Mendez was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and César Negro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. César Negro really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The supporters of Xavis Equals booed when Leones de Montepinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eneko Vilanova didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tebaldo Ferrer got free with Berto Mendez in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Xavis Equals's Berto Mendez threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Madeo Esteban, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell César Negro to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Leones de Montepinar's Alberto Nueva got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Aketza Nieto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berto Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Alberto Nueva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Negro in the 58th minute of play forced Leones de Montepinar's goalkeeper Berto Mendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes of play, Xavis Equals's Madeo Esteban made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berto Mendez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Quexal Torres hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the game, Belarmo Castillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xavis Equals's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leones de Montepinar the free kick.
