With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walter Whyte in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geraldo Neiva saved Mar del Plata from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Matia Bastida dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geraldo Neiva, 1-0. After 28 minutes of play, Sora FC's Walter Whyte made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geraldo Neiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fix Abascal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teofil Bugajski's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Mar del Plata's Arcadio Pareja was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fix Abascal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the Sora FC defense, Teofil Bugajski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fix Abascal. The Sora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fix Abascal should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Sora FC's Zaquiel Nafría got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Teofil Bugajski took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fix Abascal. Fix Abascal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Geraldo Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matia Bastida in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Mar del Plata booed when Sora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paavo Lang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sora FC's Fix Abascal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Sora FC from getting a goal against them. Teofil Bugajskis short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Fix Abascal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Teofil Bugajski came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Mar del Plata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teofil Bugajski couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Mar del Plata booed when Sora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gomesano Urbina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Antolin Casillas suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Jotham Pe fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mar del Plata's protests and gave Jotham Pe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Jotham Pe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Mar del Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Whyte came free, but Geraldo Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes Mar del Plata got a freekick which was hit by Arcadio Pareja. Geraldo Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matia Bastida in the 89th minute of play. Geraldo Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Whyte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Cléberson Hoffmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mar del Plata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sora FC the free kick. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Mar del Plata to win.
