The supporters of Santa Maria UD booed when MaDHorse TeaM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaffar Nasrullah didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jokin Cayuela fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MaDHorse TeaM's protests and gave Jokin Cayuela a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes MaDHorse TeaM got a freekick which was hit by Jokin Cayuela. Josete Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Leyva having to interfere. In the 41st minute of the match, Gaffar Nasrullah tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Millán Paredes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaffar Nasrullah made a kick off. If Nando Echeto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josete Picazo in the 57th minute of play forced Santa Maria UD's goalkeeper Millán Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, MaDHorse TeaM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etxatxu Murcia to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 65 minutes, Gaffar Nasrullah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MaDHorse TeaM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaffar Nasrullah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, MaDHorse TeaM's Etxatxu Arribas got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Etxatxu Arribas fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 75th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. When Gaffar Nasrullah came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the MaDHorse TeaM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaffar Nasrullah couldn't finish the play. Josete Martinez struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Julio Leyva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Maria UD.
