Policarpio Marcos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. César Pascual tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bastian De Pedro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bekololari Idachaba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Argul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Donatello Climent was slow to take the kick. During this time Gimnástico F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Gimnástico F.C.'s Donatello Climent was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but César Pascual in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Gimnástico F.C. booed when Argul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristián Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antimo Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. César Pascual didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnástico F.C.. In the 22nd minute Choice Chopart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Pascual saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antimo Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Pascual having to interfere. Bekololari Idachaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Palencia in the 29th minute of play. Bekololari Idachaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Colillas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, one of Gimnástico F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gimnástico F.C.. When the match had been going on for 42 minutes, Argul's Bastian De Pedro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bekololari Idachaba. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Aceves in the 52nd minute of play forced Gimnástico F.C.'s goalkeeper Bekololari Idachaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregorio Palencia kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Argul's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Choice Chopart fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Antimo Ribeiro hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Cristián Martinez struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gimnástico F.C.'s Choice Chopart got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gimnástico F.C.'s goalkeeper Bekololari Idachaba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gimnástico F.C.'s Choice Chopart got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bekololari Idachaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Palencia in the 92nd minute of play. Argul's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
