Spectators: 5500 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Blanco Manzano started the match with the kick off. Edgard Orozco came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Fútbol Club Selva de Mar's Baudilio Alvarez. But to his dismay, Baudilio Alvarez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Edgard Orozco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Beloki in the 8th minute. In the 9thth minute of the game Baudilio Alvarez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FER PLP FC's Edgard Orozco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Bienvenido Santiago fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FER PLP FC's protests and gave Bienvenido Santiago a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FER PLP FC's Bienvenido Santiago got a free kick in the 13th minute. When Andres Beloki came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Fútbol Club Selva de Mar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andres Beloki couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Beloki got free with Edgard Orozco in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baudilio Alvarezs short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Edgard Orozco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edgard Orozco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Beloki in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Baudilio Alvarez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard Orozco was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. A collision led to Fútbol Club Selva de Mar getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Paulino Villanueva hit a great ball. Fútbol Club Selva de Mar's Andres Beloki got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fútbol Club Selva de Mar's Brun Etxeberria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blanco Manzano in the 42nd minute of play. Edgard Orozco made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Andres Beloki sent off a good shot on target. In the 48th minute, Paulino Villanueva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baudilio Alvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes FER PLP FC got a freekick which was hit by Selmo Cambero. In the 55th minute, Andres Beloki made a precise shot to the right of Edgard Orozco. FER PLP FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Andres Beloki struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Edgard Orozco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fútbol Club Selva de Mar. Andres Beloki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Orozco having to interfere. If Baudilio Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bienvenido Santiago hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Andres Beloki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgard Orozco having to make a save. Andres Beloki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Orozco having to interfere. Fútbol Club Selva de Mar's Andres Beloki got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 96 minutes of play, Fútbol Club Selva de Mar's Paulino Villanueva made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Orozco was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fútbol Club Selva de Mar fully deserved thier win.
