Gargantin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 16th minute, Anibal Beloki fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Montxo Mudarra, passed just outside the right post. When Rogelio Ribas came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Gargantin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Ribas couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Beloki in the 23rd minute of play forced Robledillo De La Jara's goalkeeper Montxo Mudarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cordario Palencia couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Manolito Lermo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sinforiano Raya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucero Lozano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Robledillo De La Jara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 87th minute, Sinforiano Raya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Montxo Mudarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordario Palencia in the 90th minute of play. Anibal Beloki might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Montxo Mudarra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anibal Beloki ran back to his position shaking his head. Ander Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cordarin Bermejo in the 97th minute. Gargantin were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
